WHO
ARE WE?
ASIANS TO THE WORLD (AttWorld) is a non-stock, non-profit,
non-denominational Christian organization committed to work
together with partners to train and empower individuals throughout
the world to become self-sustaining and have a better quality
of life.
OUR
MISSION
Our mission is to glorify God by working together with the
international community in reaching and mobilizing and empowering
Asian migrants, to serve in partnership with the Asian
(World) Center of Missions in the task of serving the
nations through sharing and demonstrating God’s love
among the unreached and neediest people in the 10/40
window.
OUR
VISION
To see trained and empowered individuals throughout the world
become self-sustaining and have better quality of life through
embracing a redemptive and faith-based lifestyle.
OUR
STRATEGIES
Partnership:
Work in partnership with individuals, other ministries and
organizations at the local, national and international levels
in order to meet the spiritual, social, emotional, and physical
needs of individuals and needy communities in the world.
Resource
development: Muster Asian migrants and other
entities (i.e., individuals, churches, public and private
organizations and corporations) to support God’s work
in their home countries within the 10/40
window through freewill offerings, gifts, grants from
within the provisions specified under section 501(c)(3)
of the Internal Revenue Code. All donations are tax deductible.
Missions
mobilization: mobilize Asian ethnic migrants
in North America and in other countries towards effective
cross-cultural service and towards a determination and a
commitment to fulfill God's intention for creation, which
is redemption and abundant life.
Community
development and empowerment: become a catalyst
of change towards the betterment of the quality of life
of individuals within the ethnic communities and the 10/40
window of the world through sponsoring community development
projects that will empower individuals and communities to
realize their God-given potentials and play important roles
in uplifting the condition of the communities they live
in and beyond.
Spiritual
empowerment: spiritually enrich people's lives
through bringing them closer to God through evangelistic
activities and spiritual enrichments programs.
Facilitation
of services: provide services that facilitate
the accessibility of programs and venues designed for the
maximization of the potential for Christian service of Asian
migrants in North America and in other countries.
OUR
CORE VALUES
Partnership
oriented. We believe that by working together
on a shared vision we can achieve bigger results.
Global
mindset. The ministry has a global vision, which
requires the involvement of everyone who believes that together,
and with God, we can make a difference in our world today.
Focused.
The community of men and women working together is intercultural
but the programs are focused on a target group. These programs
are to reach, mobilize, and empower Asian migrants to become
agents of change in their home countries and beyond.
Holistic
and Total Development for the Individual. We
minister to the whole person that includes every aspect
of a person’s life, recognizing that people have the
potential to become who God created them to be.
Continuous
learning. We learn and grow as we provide avenues
of learning.
Innovation.
We value creativity and willingness to take risks in serving
others.
Stewardship.
We use God’s resources wisely by applying administrative
integrity and proper principles of accountability.
Maximizing
Potential. We recognize that people have the
potential to become who God created them to be.
Strategic.
We allow opportunities for people to participate in determining
their primary needs and we focus on addressing these needs
strategically.
Biblical.
We follow a common statement of faith and the command of
Jesus to demonstrate His love in word and deed.
OUR
STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe that:
The
Bible is the Word of God written without error and is our
absolute guide for doctrinal teaching and godly living.
The
One True God revealed Himself in the Bible as three persons
sharing one indivisible essence in the mystery of the Trinity,
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Jesus
Christ is the unique person having two perfect natures.
He is both God and man. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin, lived a sinless life but suffered and
died in the place of sinful man, was buried and resurrected,
ascended bodily into Heaven, and is preparing to return
bodily to earth a second time.
The
Holy Spirit is God who is actively at work in the world.
He dwells permanently in every Christian, helps us to pray,
equips and empowers us to serve God, strengthens and molds
us to be more like Christ, and protects us to guarantee
our eternal life.
Angels
are the innumerable and unseen creatures who serve the causes
of God and His people. Satan and demons are fallen and doomed
angels who, with the help of other evil spirits, promote
wickedness and oppose God’s purposes.
Man
is God’s creature who bears His image and was originally
sinless but through the first man Adam, all mankind sinned,
became separated from God, and totally unable to gain God’s
favor, forgiveness, and eternal life by self-effort.
Salvation
is God’s act of forgiving sins, reconciling people
to Himself, and giving eternal life to those who believe
in Jesus. Salvation is not a reward for good works but a
free gift of God received by faith in Jesus Christ alone.
The
Church is the universal Body of Christ consisting of all
born-again Christians made one by the indwelling of the
Holy Spirit. Membership in a local church is necessary for
accountability, Christian growth, and nurture.
Jesus
Christ will come again to reign on earth, and to reward
God’s people with an everlasting life that is to be
enjoyed with Him forever in the new Heaven and Earth and
to judge unbelievers with eternal separation from God and
suffering in Hell.
Christians
have the duty to promote the welfare of the poor, needy,
and deprived members of society, and to reach out to the
world in need.
